BECOME A PART OF OUR FAMILY

We hope that you'll join us for Sunday worship to see what we're all about.

Our hope is that you will find a warm & welcoming community, coming

together from various faith backgrounds to worship, share,

and serve in true Christian faith.

We offer Sunday worship service, Children's Sunday School and nursery,

Bible studies, and women's, men's & group fellowship.

SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE

A typical Sunday Morning

COMMUNITY NOTES - A time to hear about events going on in our church community.

CALL TO WORSHIP / PRAYER OF CONFESSION

SHARING OUR TITHES & OFFERINGS - Members & regular attendees are invited to worship God with their tithes & offerings.

SERMON - A message intended to help grow your relationship with Jesus.

JOYS & CONCERNS -  Parishioners have an opportunity to let us know how we can pray for them.

MORNING PRAYER

BENEDICTION - Pastor's blessing at the end of the service.

FELLOWSHIP - We love to visit after service with new and old friends over refreshments!

Music is an important part of worship at Wyben and is interspersed throughout the hour-long service.  Primarily, music selections - often tied to the theme of the sermon - lean toward traditional hymns, although you will hear some more contemporary pieces occassionally.

Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.

COVID-19 Response

UPDATE EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 12, 2022:

Due to decrease in the number of COVID cases in Westfield, the Board of Health lifted an indoor mask requirement for all public buildings, including places of worship, effective immediately, on February 9, 2022.  With the mandate rescinded, masks will no longer be required to enter the Wyben Church building, with the exception of Sunday School & nursery, where masks are required.  The Westfield Board of Health is in support of the Mask Advisory from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. For more information on the Mask Advisory as well as locations where masks are still required:

EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 12, 2022:

  1.  Mask-wearing in the entire church building is optional, with the exception of Sunday School & Nursery where adults must be masked.

  2. Additional seating will be available in the Fellowship Hall should some prefer to attend service with greater distancing availability.

  3. At present, Zoom coverage of Sunday service will remain in place provided someone from the Tech Team is available to run the equipment.

  4. Offering plates will be passed pew to pew.

  5. Pre-packaged communion elements will be passed pew to pew by the Diaconate on Communion Sundays.

  6. Pastor Karl will greet parishoners exiting into the Fellowship Hall, and you feel comfortable to do so, please feel free to shake his hand.

  7. Fellowship & refreshments will continue as usual, pre-COVID.

  8. The City's announcement also included a reminder that masks are still required in certain settings due to State or Federal rules that are still in place including but not limited to; schools, healthcare facilities and public transportation. Please cooperate with requirements that are still in place including private businesses that still require masks.

Please continue to be respectful of one another as we each individually assess our own health risks and make our own decisions regarding face coverings.
